Donde nací! Where I was born!
This was a memorable trip, an amazing 7 days eating pupusas, reconnecting with family and being a tourist in my own country.
If you ever go, I recommend doing a hike up Volcan de Santa Ana. They have certain hours in the day where a guide will take you up. If you’re lucky, once you get to the top, there will be a person there selling cold fruity popsicles. The person does the entire hike up with a full cooler on his back!
If you can’t make the trip to El Salvador, I hope you can at least search for a near by Salvadoran Restaurant, because pupusas are delicious and are 100% worth trying! They are these thick tortillas stuffed with gooey cheese!
